Women's Guild

The Women’s Guild is fortunate to have a small group of ladies who meet faithfully almost every month to plan how we can support our church! We feel privileged to be in the Guild! Please join us!

We are up and running! We spent Wednesday afternoon (November 14^th) at the Botanical Gardens. Everyone wished they could recognize more plants. It was lovely!

Then on to Our Lady of Victory Basilica. Eleven women went on our “field trip” and we had five women who had never been to the Basilica. All were impressed…

We were back at church by 3:00 p.m. I (Bunny) was unsure of our time frame so most ate lunch before leaving on our outing. Next time we’ll plan a lunch or maybe have coffee and dessert afterwards.

December Meeting

All women are invited!

• Our first meeting was in January 2010. We had a business meeting to decide how to divide our funds. (We raised + donated $125.00 to the church for 2010)
• February/March: No Meetings.
• April: We had a regular meeting and discussed a boat ride in June!
• May: We discussed and made reservations for a boat trip aboard the Grand Lady!
• June: We enjoyed a cruise on the Grand Lady and had lunch at a restaurant on Grand Island!
• July/August: No Meetings.
• September: The President talked about Pat Boone, the singer, and how he changed his life after he became a star and got caught up in drinking, etc.
• October: We helped make blankets for cancer patients.
• November: We talked about past Christmases as young people!
• December: We concluded 2010 by going to Richard’s On Main for a Christmas luncheon!
